“Songs that I’ve loved for years, but never heard before.” – fan quote
Mike Yesconis’ songs are born out of emotional necessity, documenting the struggles and irony of life while recognizing that our parents are aging and that we are aging and at some point there would be a massive shift in what we had always known as normal. Many of these songs became anthems to get him through the major changes and transitions in recent years, while many of them are also snapshots of memories that have been put into a song format (some times you need more than a picture). Mike & the Y-Tones was born in 2016 as a vehicle to perform Mike’s songbook. With David Hall on drums and Adam Coffinberger on bass, the Y-Tones offer a supreme rhythm section to Mike’s short and catchy songs.
