Quotes/People Say:

“Songs that I’ve loved for years, but never heard before.”–fan quote

Lucky for us, the well-crafted tunes on “Me Into Us,” the latest LP from Mike & the Y-Tones, are finally seeing the light of day. Written over a decade ago and recently polished to perfection, the collection of quick-hitting, once-buried treasures leaves a lasting impression, fueled by frontman Mike Yesconis’s nifty guitar licks, wide-ranging vocals and catchy lyrics. The indie trio really shines in intimate live settings. Catch them if you can.”  Don Botch — Reading Eagle (retired)

“Their music makes me feel young…. endless possibilities.”   “Mike’s lyrics tell stories that are grown up. He takes the not so pleasant parts of life, adds a little wit and humor, which make it easy to swallow.” “They definitely have a punk and indie sound, but when you least expect it you hear bits of soul and country weaved in.” “To describe their sound, I hear a subtle essence of the Lemonheads with a Dinosaur Jr. finish.”STARVING ARTIST.NET

Personal Bio:

Hello, my name is Mike Yesconis and I live in the Reading, PA area. I am a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and recording/mixing engineer who does it all as a hobby for the love of music. I am responsible, courteous and respectful of any venue where I may play with the utmost attention to professionalism and putting on a good show. I have been involved with the local original music scene for over 20 years. Projects include Tin Bird Choir (Mandolin, Fiddle), The Worms/James Jewell (Mandolin, Fiddle), The Cultivators (Mandolin, Guitar, Fiddle), La Overtoner (Bass) and my current own original Indie Rock band, Mike & the Y-Tones which I started in 2016. We are what I call an indie rock trio (electric guitar, bass, drums) with punk, soul and country sensibilities intertwined into mostly short and catchy songs. I have released several records, EPs and singles and am releasing another record, “Me Into Us” on November 8, 2025, which includes a digital as well as vinyl record release.

Band Bio:

Mike Yesconis’ songs are born out of emotional necessity, documenting the struggles and irony of life while recognizing that our parents are aging and that we are aging and at some point there would be a massive shift in what we had always known as normal. Many of these songs became anthems to get him through the major changes and transitions in recent years, while many of them are also snapshots of memories that have been put into a song format (sometimes you need more than a picture). Mike & the Y-Tones was born in 2016 as a vehicle to perform Mike’s songbook. With Adam Coffinberger on bass and Ryan Watts on drums, the Y-Tones offer a supreme rhythm section to Mike’s short and catchy songs.
